Acupuncture

  • Chinese Medicine explains that acu-points are connected by energetic meridians in the body. “Qi” or vital energy, flows through these meridians – disease, dysfunction and pain develop when it does not.

Modern science explains that acupuncture communicates with the central nervous system causing it to shift into the parasympathetic or “rest and digest” state while creating a myriad of effects including reducing systemic and local inflammation, improving blood circulation, releasing neurohormones and neurotransmitters, including endorphins which are the body’s own pain relievers and “feel good” hormone.
